Schacky-Park
Schacky-Park is an 18-hectare English-style landscape garden on the southern edge of Dießen am Ammersee, laid out between 1903 and 1913 by royal chamberlain Ludwig Freiherr von Schacky auf Schönfeld and his wife Julia as their private summer retreat. The design follows classical English landscape principles — paved paths wind through pergola-covered walkways and loose tree groupings, punctuated by a small Monopteros rotunda, a teahouse, an apple espalier, several fountains, and scattered statues. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm, the park offers a contemplative escape from the busier lakeside promenades, with the unhurried atmosphere of an aristocratic country estate still largely intact.
