Tepebağ Höyük

Also known as: Tepebag mound

Tepebağ Höyük is an archaeological mound in the center of Adana, with excavated layers spanning from the Early Bronze Age through the Late Bronze Age — representing up to 8,000 years of continuous settlement on this single site. Ongoing excavations have uncovered traces of what appears to be a temple complex, making it one of the oldest known sacred sites in the Adana region. The site is currently fenced and not set up for public visits; active digs are underway and access is limited. It is a site to watch as excavations progress, rather than a place to visit today.
