MUSABALI KONAĞI

Musabalı Konağı is a restored Ottoman mansion in Adana's Kayalıbağ quarter, renovated by Seyhan Municipality and converted into a coffee museum housing artefacts, equipment, and documents related to Middle Eastern coffee culture. Local memory preserves a peculiar story behind the name: a man called Musa, said to have been aggressive, once lived here and was kept tied up — earning the place the nickname 'Musa's Tie.' The site later served as Gazipaşa Primary School before becoming the present-day Tepebağ İmam Hatip High School complex. A steeply angled ramp on the left side of the property remains unexplained, its builder and purpose unknown.
