The Shipwreck

The Shipwreck is a small visitor centre in Valletta dedicated to the biblical account of St. Paul's shipwreck on Malta, recorded in Acts 27–28 — an event widely considered the foundation of Malta's enduring Christian identity. A roughly 35-minute short film dramatises Paul's arrival on the island and his eventual journey to Rome, screened in a compact cinema space. The centre also serves as a quiet retreat house for those seeking reflection or prayer. A gift shop sells religious items and Maltese souvenirs. Open Mon–Fri 10:00–16:00, Sat–Sun 10:00–14:00.
