Valletta Contemporary

Valletta Contemporary is an international contemporary art gallery in Malta's capital, founded by artist Norbert Attard. Its most striking feature is the space itself — a cave-like vaulted room below street level, designed by the artist, which gives exhibitions an unusually intimate and immersive quality. The program rotates regularly, showing a mix of Maltese and international artists; recent presentations have included large-scale light installations alongside smaller group shows. A small shop sells handcrafted jewelry and objects by local makers, and staff are notably engaged in discussing the work. Admission is free.
