Zurich
Also known as: Zurichhorn
Zürichhorn is a flat lakeside park on the eastern shore of Lake Zurich, stretching between the Chinese Garden and the Seebad Utoquai. Its signature piece is Jean Tinguely's kinetic sculpture «Heureka», a clattering assembly of gears, wheels, and metal arms originally built for Switzerland's national exposition Expo 64 in Lausanne and installed here permanently that same year. On summer days the park functions as an informal gathering ground for locals — barbecue spots fill early, cyclists share the promenade path, and the small headland offers an unobstructed view across the lake toward the Alps on clear days.
East-shore park with Tinguely's Heureka, the Casino restaurant, the Centre Le Corbusier — summer meeting spot with Alpine views.
