The Beriev Be-32 is a Soviet turboprop short-haul aircraft developed by the Beriev Design Bureau in the late 1960s. Designed as a high-wing monoplane for regional routes on unpaved grass airstrips, it addressed a genuine logistical need across the vast Soviet domestic network. Its first test flight with piston engines took place in 1967; the turbine variant followed in 1968. It competed against the Antonov An-28 and the Czechoslovak Let L-410. As a museum exhibit, the Be-32 offers a tangible window into Soviet civil aviation during the Cold War.
