Nature in Moscow

Moscow has more green space woven into its urban fabric than first appearances suggest. The Alexander Garden beside the Kremlin and the expansive Gorky Park along the Moskva River offer easy riverside walks, with the river itself crossed by landmarks such as Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge, Bolshoy Ustinsky Bridge, and the Crimean Bridge. Bitsa Park to the south provides quieter forest paths away from the centre. The grounds of Arkhangelskoye Palace blend formal gardens with river scenery, while the Fersman Mineralogical Museum offers a different perspective on the natural world through its extensive collection of rocks and minerals.
