Aar (Lahn)

The Aar is a modest 49.7-kilometre left-bank tributary of the Lahn, winding through the low hill country straddling Hessen and Rhineland-Palatinate. Its valley remains largely undeveloped, offering quiet riverside paths popular with walkers, cyclists, and anglers amid typical floodplain vegetation of willows and alders. There are no major landmarks along its course; its appeal lies in the unhurried, rural character of a small German river.
