The Aiguille du Tour is a twin-summited peak of 3,540 metres straddling the border between Switzerland and France, at the southern edge of the Vallais near Martigny. The ridge forms the literal boundary between the two countries, with the Tour Glacier descending to the French west and the Trient Glacier to the Swiss east — a rare alpine vantage point over two distinct glacial systems. The peak is considered one of the more accessible high-alpine routes in the Mont Blanc massif and is a popular objective approached via the Cabane du Trient on the Swiss side or the Refuge Albert 1er on the French side. Summit views extend across the four-thousanders of the massif to Mont Blanc itself.
