Adlerhorn

Adlerhorn is a distinct summit in the Allalin group of the Walliser Alps on the territory of Zermatt, reaching 3,988 m — just short of the symbolic four-thousander threshold. Though barely distinguishable from the neighboring Strahlhorn when viewed from the west, it holds its own topographic identity: the Adler Glacier begins on its north flank and the Findel Glacier on its south side. The peak sits directly on the classic ascent route from Zermatt via the Berghaus Flue to the Strahlhorn, making it a familiar waypoint for alpinists and ski tourers in the area. From the summit, climbers gain an open panorama across the glacier plateau and the ring of four-thousanders surrounding Zermatt.
