Ben Ledi

Ben Ledi is an 879-metre Corbett in the Trossachs, the rugged highland landscape northwest of Stirling, and one of central Scotland's most recognisable summits. Walter Scott immortalised the surrounding area in his 1810 narrative poem 'The Lady of the Lake', drawing on the legend of Nimue, the Lady of the Lake — a connection that embedded Ben Ledi firmly in Scotland's Romantic literary imagination. The most popular ascent starts from Callander, following open moorland and grass ridges in a round trip of roughly four to five hours. On clear days the summit offers far-reaching views toward Loch Lomond to the west and the Grampians to the north.
