Bendplatz

Bendplatz is a large open square in Aachen that functions as the city's primary venue for seasonal popular events. Its most prominent fixture is the Öcher Bend, Aachen's traditional funfair featuring rides, food stalls, and travelling showmen that draws tens of thousands of visitors each season. In winter, the site is taken over by the Original Aachener Weihnachtszirkus, a Christmas circus run under the Eurogress Aachen banner and known for its acrobatics and comedy acts. Fireworks displays are a regular highlight. The overall experience skews strongly family-friendly, with something on offer for every age group.
