пик Семёнова-Тянь-Шаньского

Pik Semyonov-Tyan-Shansky is the highest summit of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too range, a northern spur of the Tian Shan mountain system in Kyrgyzstan. The peak is named after the Russian geographer Pyotr Semyonov, who conducted the first systematic European exploration of the Tian Shan in the 1850s and was subsequently awarded the honorary suffix 'Tyan-Shansky' by the Imperial Russian government. For mountaineers based in Bishkek, the summit represents a serious high-altitude objective involving glacier travel and sweeping panoramas across the Central Asian highland landscape.
