Bundesautobahn 99

The A99 forms the motorway ring around Munich, linking the autobahns that radiate into the Bavarian capital a few kilometres outside the city. The ring is not fully closed; a section in the south is missing. For travellers, the A99 is mostly the bypass that lets you skip Munich when switching between the A8, A9 or A92. At peak times it is one of the more heavily congested motorway sections in Germany.
