Warsaw Railway Museum

Also known as: Muzeum Kolejnictwa w Warszawie, Stacja Muzeum

The Warsaw Railway Museum occupies the disused Warszawa Glowna station and collects material from the history of the Polish railway since the 19th century. On the old platforms and tracks larger items are lined up - steam locomotives, saloon cars, narrow-gauge vehicles and a few military rail items - while the indoor display uses models, uniforms and signalling equipment to tell how a state railway functioned across two dictatorships and a republic. The mix of collection and unconverted station environment is unusual. The visit suits railway fans and families alike, with many vehicles accessible up close.
