Hubertuskapelle

The Hubertuskapelle in Arloff, a district of Bad Münstereifel in the Euskirchen region, is a late-Gothic Catholic chapel built in 1466 and listed as a protected cultural monument. It is dedicated to Saint Hubertus, patron saint of hunters, whose veneration remains very much alive in the forested Eifel countryside. A striking detail noted by nearly every visitor is the chapel's roof cross, fashioned from tools and metal implements — an artisanal peculiarity that sets it apart from any standard wayside chapel. Embedded in the local hiking trail network, it serves as a popular rest stop on the Mokkentocht cycling route. Its secluded woodland setting makes it a quiet place for a brief pause, whether for reflection or simply to take in the rural surroundings.
