Luisenfriedhof III
Also known as: Kirchhof III der Luisen-Gemeinde, Evangelischer Luisenfriedhof III, Kapelle Fürstenbrunner Weg 37/67 · +1
The Protestant Luisenfriedhof III in Berlin's Westend district is an avenue-quarter cemetery laid out in 1891, covering twelve hectares and belonging to the Luisen parish in Charlottenburg; the whole site is a protected monument. It was planned in the typical style of its time as a cemetery evenly divided into rectangular quarters, with tree-lined avenues running along the main axes. A number of well-known Berliners are buried here, including the actor Heinz Ruehmann and the actor Joachim Fuchsberger. The cemetery is open to the public during the day and offers a quiet, tree-covered atmosphere in western Berlin.
