Schauwerk Sindelfingen

Schauwerk Sindelfingen is a contemporary art museum that opened in 2010 in a converted industrial hall on the outskirts of Sindelfingen, near Stuttgart. It houses the private collection of Peter Schaufler and Christiane Schaufler-Münch, widely regarded as one of the most significant privately held contemporary art collections in Germany, with a focus on international painting, sculpture, and installation art from the 1960s onward. The decision to site the collection away from a major urban art hub gives the space a deliberately unhurried atmosphere. Rotating temporary exhibitions complement the permanent display, offering fresh perspectives on a carefully assembled body of work.
