Wied Hesri

Wied Hesri is a dry rocky valley near Valletta, characteristic of Malta's karst landscape where seasonal watercourses disappear entirely in summer. The surrounding terrain is covered in typical Mediterranean garrigue — low scrub, limestone outcrops, and wild herbs. Visitors come for quiet walks away from the island's busier tourist spots. Water may flow through in winter and spring, but in summer the valley is arid and largely barren.
