This public viewing platform sits on the perimeter of Malta International Airport between Kirkop and Safi, offering a rare above-fence sightline directly onto the runway. Concrete tables, chairs, and a static aircraft engine at ground level make it a casual hangout as much as a spotting facility — regulars bring lunch and watch aircraft from morning arrivals through evening departures. The late-afternoon slot, around 6 pm, draws the most visitors for shots of planes banking against a Mediterranean sunset. Entry is free, and outside peak holiday season the platform is pleasantly uncrowded.
