Haus Ober-Frohnrath

Haus Ober-Frohnrath is a medieval noble estate on Katzenpolsweg in the Horbach area of northern Aachen, close to the boundary of the Richterich district. The property once served as a fief of the Electorate of Cologne, reflecting the historically contested border zone between Aachen and Kurköln's spheres of influence. Today it sits well off the beaten track, surrounded by quiet agricultural land that forms part of a local hiking network. The building is visible from the path outside, though public access to the grounds does not appear to be available.
