The Coralita X127 is a British water lighter (cargo barge) that first served in the WWI Gallipoli campaign before being recommissioned in Malta as a fuel supply vessel for submarines during WWII. On March 6, 1942, it was sunk during an Axis air raid on Valletta harbor, where it has rested ever since. The wreck sits in remarkably good condition: the bow lies at just 4–5 meters below the surface, the stern at around 20–22 meters, making it accessible to Open Water-certified divers. Shore entry is possible directly from the coast. The visible bomb hole in the hull adds a striking historical detail to what is considered one of Malta's most rewarding shallow wreck dives.
