Dietzenbach Bahnhof

Dietzenbach Bahnhof is the terminus of the branch line from Offenbach-Bieber and links the small Hessian city to central Frankfurt through the S2 commuter route. The late-19th-century station building, in red brick under a plain hipped roof, is listed as a cultural monument in Hesse and is one of the last surviving examples of Gruenderzeit branch-line architecture in the Rhine-Main region. Behind the station the tracks end at a buffer; in front lies a small square with bus connections to surrounding districts. Anyone alighting here is just a few minutes walk from the medieval Altmarkt of Dietzenbach.
