Love valley
Also known as: Love Valley Cappadocia
Love Valley sits on the edge of Göreme in the heart of Cappadocia, defined by its distinctive tuff-rock columns — fairy chimneys — sculpted over millennia by volcanic deposits and wind erosion. The formations, some reaching 40 metres tall, give the valley its tongue-in-cheek name. At dawn, dozens of hot-air balloons drift above the valley floor, forming one of the region's most recognisable spectacles. The valley is best explored on foot or horseback; sunrise riding tours from the nearby Love Valley Horse Ranch are popular with beginners and experienced riders alike. The interplay of geological surrealism, early-morning light, and balloon-dotted sky makes it one of Cappadocia's prime spots for photography.
