Orgelbaumuseum Schloss Hanstein

The Museo dell'Ocarina in Bologna is one of the few museums in the world dedicated entirely to this small wind instrument, which took its modern form in the Emilia-Romagna region during the 19th century. The nearby town of Budrio is credited as the birthplace of the multi-hole concert ocarina: in 1853, potter Giuseppe Donati refined the instrument into its characteristic dove shape. The collection traces the craft of ocarina-making, regional playing traditions, and the instrument's spread from northern Italy across the globe. A niche but rewarding stop for music enthusiasts and curious families alike.
