Şıh Cemil Nardalı Konağı

The Şıh Cemil Nardalı Konağı is a three-storey Ottoman mansion in Adana's Akkapı neighborhood, built in the early 20th century by the local notable Sheikh Cemil Nardalı. Constructed from regional stone in the traditional konak style, the building features layered wooden ceilings, generous reception rooms, and a shaded garden courtyard that embodies the domestic architecture of late Ottoman Anatolia. During the Turkish War of Independence, the mansion served a military or administrative role, embedding it firmly in Adana's civic history. Now operating as a museum, it presents period furnishings and room arrangements that illustrate the lifestyle of the Ottoman provincial elite.
