Balconie Castle

Balconie Castle is a lost castle site near Evanton in the Scottish Highlands, a short distance northeast of Inverness. The structure is considered fully gone — no standing masonry survives above ground, and historical records on its origins, builders, or occupants are sparse even by Scottish castle research standards. The site amounts to little more than an unmarked location in the Highland landscape, its story largely unrecovered.
