Bejtul Awal Mosque

One of Albania's largest mosques, built by the Ahmadiyya community in 1995 near Tirana, with capacity for 2,500 worshippers.

The Bejtul Awal Mosque, also known as the Baitul Awal Mosque, sits in the Kashar suburb on the western approach road from Durrës into Tirana, now part of the municipality of Tirana. Consecrated in 1995 by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, it holds up to 2,500 worshippers and is among the largest mosques in Albania. Its architecture features a central dome and minarets in a classical Islamic style. The mosque stands as a visible symbol of the Ahmadiyya presence in the Balkans — a region where Islam and other faiths share a long and layered history.
