Viewpoints in Istanbul

Istanbul's views shift constantly between two continents, the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn. Çamlıca Tepesi and the adjacent Çamlıca Tower offer some of the widest panoramas across the strait, while the hilltop fortress of Rumeli Hisarı looks directly down onto the water. The Şemsi Pasha Mosque sits right at the shoreline, and the Haliç Bridge frames the inlet in both directions. From the observation floor of Istanbul Sapphire the city's rooftops spread out below. Landmarks such as the Aqueduct of Valens, Dolmabahçe Clock Tower, Emirgan Park and Eyüpsultan Cemetery each add their own layer to the scenery.
