Böshorn

Böshorn is a 3,268-metre summit in the Walliser Alps of the Swiss canton of Valais, sitting roughly 3.5 kilometres north of the Fletschhorn. The mountain forms the western flank of the Simplon Pass and straddles the Rhône–Po watershed — precipitation falling on its eastern slopes ultimately drains toward the Adriatic, while the western side feeds into the Atlantic. For experienced alpinists the summit offers broad views over the Simplon corridor and the surrounding four-thousanders of the Valais. Ascent routes pass through high-alpine terrain and require appropriate mountaineering experience and equipment.
